Name
SAML Commons Working Group
Purpose
The purpose of this working group is to advance development, implemention, and adoption of SAML, in particular by producing SAML profiles that enable its use with other technologies such as XRI, OpenID, etc.
Principles
This working group will function according to the Identity Commons Principles (see Purpose And Principles). In addition:
- The SAML working group will be open to any individual or organization interested in the advancement of SAML.
- Specifications and open source code will be maintained by meritocracy.
Practices
Collaboration occurs on various identity mailing lists, including saml-commons at yahoogroups.com. Face to Face sessions occur generally at IIW and IOS events.
Requirements of Participation and How to Join
Participation is open to anyone interested in the advancement and creation of SAML profiles. It is expected that completed profiles should be submitted to the OASIS Security Services Technical Committee. You may join this group by adding your name to the list below or joining the mailing list.
Licenses and/or Restrictions on Usage of Work Product
All specifications are open, public, royalty-free with no restrictions on usage.

- SAML XRI profiles 1.0 October 2006 (current working draft located on the XDI.org I-Services Specification site).
