Successes

• The OASIS XDI Technical Committee:
  • Elected a new co-chair (Bill Barnhill of Booz Allen Hamilton).
  • Published a list of the proposed XDI 1.0 specifications.
• The XDI4J (XDI For Java) Project] published several new utilities, including:
  • XDI Local Messenger
  • XDI Setter
  • XDI Signer

Breakdowns

• In May, the OASIS Standard vote on XRI 2.0 (on which XDI depends) narrowly missed passage due to opposition from the W3C Technical Architecture Group. The OASIS XRI TC is now in active discussions with the W3C TAG to address this breakdown.

• IC members interested in the implementation of XDI within the Higgins Project should join the Higgins mailing list.
